The One and Only….Oola Mala
Written by Mahi and Arya
Oola Mala isn’t just a restaurant, it’s a fun and colorful experience. Luna, Oola Mala’s founder, designed the logo and menu. Luna is a warm and inviting person who loves to ravel with her son. Luna has years of experience working in a variety of restaurants prior to creating Oola Mala. This is her first venture on her own and she learned how to manage her business with her family’s help. Her idea was to make a restaurant where people could enjoy a variety of different kinds of food in one place and have some fun. Her eclectic menu differentiates her from other hotpots around town.

As you walk in, the atmosphere of the restaurant is playful and unique. There’s an emoji wall where you can press the button to see which emoji you land on. Just under it is one of my favorite effects, the infinity mirror showcasing ‘Oola Mala’. They have a robocat that delivers food right to your table and can sing “Happy Birthday” on your special day. As you exit, you will notice a claw machine. You can earn a coin to play based on how much you spend. Onetime I was able to win a keychain. It is always a fun time to try each time we go.

Oola Mala’s menu has a variety of different types of delicious food to try. They offer appetizers, hot pot, seafood boils, Korean, Sushi, and Ramen. Currently, Luna’s favorite food on the menu is seafood boils (which she picked up from Louisiana) and hot pot. I almost forgot to mention that they have vegetarian options.
Oola Mala’s variety isn’t just with food. Their drink variety hits the spot no matter what you are in the mood to have. They have teas, Japanese sodas, regular sodas, slushies, and some unique creations. My favorite is lavender haze.
Luna decorated Oola Mala to show her own style and favorite things. One of her recent purchases that she is proud to display is the Labubu, it appears around the restaurant. She even sold Labubu merchandise at one point and it sold out very quickly. She still keeps some on display so people can take photos. These little touches make Oola Mala feel fun and original.
Oola Mala is coming up on its two-year anniversary. Luna is planning something special. So don’t miss out and help Luna celebrate the restaurant’s 2 year anniversary and find out what she has planned. The celebration is September 5th - 7th. This is just another example of how Luna makes Oola Mala a happy and memorable place for everyone to enjoy.
If you haven’t already been there, I urge you to check it out!
